An evening at the beach.

Today has been the day of the beach. Luke was kind enough to drive me down as he was heading to the beach with his mum. I spent an hour chatting away and reading game of thrones on the beach. It was lovely. The beach in Perth gets an afternoon breeze that cools you down. This is me at the beach, adventure hat time!!!

ooooh, I just noticed I can put titles on these things....

So today I explored the world of Modern Jive! I spent the evening in the company of Megan here: http://megarock.com.au/venues.htm The rock and roll classes are too far away but Megan has suggested there may be some lifts going, we'll see. There doesn't appear to be base steps more just "keep your left leg leading ladies" which still boggles me as I wanna rock step. Looks like I've found a way to fill my Wednesday evenings. :) During the class I became a man, sorry it's so blurry....

Day 12/93

Quiet day!, lots of chores and tidying.
Worked out how to fix the damned bedroom cupboard and get the door to stop sticking.

Costume Party!!
Ed decided on a costume/board game party for his birthday. Here's our gracious host, who terrified me with a blood splattered cleaver when he opened the door

Day 9/93

I started today thinking I was off to Camden again to go drinking with Claire, Kinjal and Dan, and maybe some others, but we failed to organise people, so that's for another day. I was looking forward to the idea of a real night's sleep, when I got invited out to covent garden by work people. Ooops. No rest for the wicked it seems. I again failed to get any photos, so you'll have to survive off photos I stole from the internet.
First we headed off on the sardinelike picadilly line to leicester square to head to "Foundation". Happy hour + cocktails!

 Then we pottered over to an indian street food place, kind of indian tapas. Very tasty. This is one of the things we had: breaded okra. Nomnomnom

And after that on to "The Sussex" for another drink. I then slept like a log.

Day 8/93

So I failed to take an actual photo today, so you can have a picture from the internet representative of what I did :P After work attemmpted to get to Camden with Nick to grab dinner at "The Earl of Camden" (A tasty Burger) and then on to see '12 years a slave'. The trip was a bit more of a mission than I'd hoped, because they closed victoria underground as I got there, so had to take a us instead :< Film was good, very intense. Don't think it needed a big screen perhaps, but deffo worth a watch.

Today, my sweet, you have a special treat! I have two photos to show you. :) This morning I visited a customer and went out for lunch with Luke. I may have found a massive carrot!!! I think a radioactive lizards tongue is very becoming of me. Perhaps even feature enhancing! I had a massive sandwich, and rhubarb shake, mmmmmm. Auz is pretty expensive, esp. to eat out or to have drinks.

After work, I did some shopping and decided that Arran MUST see the meat counter, mmmmmmmmm meat! ALL OF THE MEAT!!!!

After a hard days working I'm learning to relax the old fashioned way.... I think I may rip it apart and start again though.

I've learnt a hard lesson this day. If one decides to drink alcohol in Auz, make sure, that one drinks plenty of water after...dehydration sneaks up easily here. The apple cidar was tastey, perhaps not 9 dollars worth though.... T-total??

So been a busy couple of days, I've got a little catching up to do..

The hat has come out to play! I feel like miss adventurer with this on, I wonder where the mysterious artifact is hidden....

Day 7/93

One week down, 11 to go. I miss my Emma so, but I've been keeping myself busy! Out with Kinjal and Dan tonight, marking the start of the 4 days of Kinjal hanging out with :)

Another quiet day, rearranged the cupboard, I'm liking this full set of bedding in a pillowcase idea I stole from the internet :) watched silver linings playbook. Not just because it contains Jennifer Lawrence. Honest.

Day 5/93

A nice lazy Saturday, just about pulled myself to the cinema to go see  American hustle

I've been a very constructive wee bunny today. Sorted myself out a bike for while I'm here. I have to remember cycling in 39oC heat is pretty tiring and not recommended....

Elsa kindly showed me around Perth. I had a very hot (33oC)pottering around Fremantle and being told all the best local knowledge. She was a wee star. The picture is of Perth from the cafe we stopped at.

Day 4/93

Thought I was going to have a quiet evening at home, but just as I got to Paddington, my phone went off, and I was dragged forcibly back the way I came. Ate some nommy south Indian food. Then back home to install my new hard drives and reinstall Windows :)

So.... I'm not a bachelor but I'm writing anyway! Went to the shops at lunch and discovered this!!!

Day 3/93

Quiet day today, decided to watch Sherlock. This was more difficult than I'd hoped, mostly because I had no way of displaying pictures on the tv. Realised that my recent attempt at a reinstall of Windows failed because the drive has died. Reinstalled it on another drive, job's a good'un, till Monday, when I get my new drive and install Windows for the third time this week.

Day 2/93

Pottering on learning things at work, inclusion a quick tour of tableau. New battery pack for my phone, and sound card for the pc arrived today, both of which I'm looking forward to playing with. Finished the day with a game of 40k with Mat, really even all the way through, but Mat pipped me at the end. A good day :)
