Dim Sim
I took your advice and headed to Northbridge. The New Moon is an interesting place, we hadn't even sat down and loads of carts of steamed food started to encircle us. The staff called out the names of the dishes and we had to decide what we wanted to take. It was mayhem. I felt like I was in Spirited Away. :) I couldn't stop giggling as steam baskets flew past us with various things in them; each purchase logged on what looked like a Chinese bingo sheet. My favourites were..... steamed pork buns - char sui pau, mmmmm I must have put away 3/4 of these and you guessed it steamed custard buns!!! nom nom nom. Afterwards we headed to a pub for some drinks and then home. I think we were all pooped after work.... counting zzzzzzz's.

Spectral Decomposition
My brain got boggled at work today so I decided to give dancing a miss and try to unscramble the world of spectral decomposition. Basically, it's looking that the different frequencies that are returned from each trace. Looking a the wavelets in different frequency bands can yield more to what is positioned at the location. Lower frequencies can show thicker beds (as they take longer to travel through them), higher frequencies can show thinner beds.
Hope you enjoyed your geology lesson. :)
Cycle round King's park
After work I went on a cycle around Kings park.; this is the park opposite my work. It was a really nice cycle, I visited a great vantage point, cycled through a botanic garden and then through the "bush". It was very pretty, but roasting! I'm really not designed for hot climates....
Very pretty view from King's park over Perth
I found a secret lake with many secret duckies. :)

Land Poole Reserve
Luke took me on an off-road driving tour of Auz. We drove 2 hours south through some very burnt trees. I had an awesome day swimming in Nanga river, clamboring over rocks and driving up mountain bike trails.... Here's a snapshot of my day...
Chilling at Baden Powell.
Luke going for a swim.
Me swimming in a river. :)
Marsh flies, they have a nasty bite! Luke killed 30 of them.
Luke found a natural jacuzzi.
Downsteam
Me loving the jacuzzi
We drove to the middle of nowhere and then insisted on a cuppa tea. :)
How many kangaroos can you see?

Opera in the Park.
This morning was spent in Freo buying all the vintage dresses. :D The morning was topped off by a stack of yummy pancakes.
I then met up with Kylie and Martin for Opera in the Park. We headed down to the supreme court gardens armed with a tasty picnic. I watched Tosca for the first time. It was very pretty but when you read the subtitles it did sound like a soup opera....
Friday night at the fringe
Met up with Kylie and Martin, had an enormous burger and then headed into Perth. We pottered around looking for a good show to go and see. After looking through this extensive list we found bubkiss. :(
Some Chinese lanterns (that look like red jellyfish)...
And a Valentines day choco pancake. :) The guy got really excited because when he asked me my name I responded... GODZILLA. :)
By this point, my belly wanted to explode. To save it we decided to go see Not Dead Yet. This basically was a guy who liked to swallow swords and do backflips at the same time. I'm really glad he didn't die on stage....

Girlie night out!
The girls at work arranged a trip into Perth CBD. We went to the stables bar. It was nice getting to me girls in the office that I hadn't even seen yet. I had a scrummy shiraz and a bottle of matzu's ginger beer
BBQ a la Emma
To thank Martin and Kylie for teaching me the ways of Australia I treated them to a BBQ at my house. I had Tasmanian Brie, Australia garlic infused Olive oil and all the fancy sausages from savers meat. YUM!!! I had such a problem trying to light the BBQ, in the end my flatmate David had to blow the ignitor until one of the grills took. We then used a piece of wood to light the rest. For a sec, I though we would have to finish the BBQ in the park.... :S I also got chased by two spiders! Luckily, David is Australian so he caught them and destroyed them, all in a very calm fashion...
See how proud I am of my Auzzy Barby! :D
Comedy and Knitting
After work I headed straight for bar 5 to sit with 7 other people and knit. I got half a side of my doll done and ate ham and cheese croquettes. Elsa then took me out to a comedy gig to see Australian comedian Jacques Barrett and Canadian Bryan O'Gorman. This was in the same Irish bar I went to last Friday night! Some very crude, yet funny, jokes ensued.... :)

Cycle to Feral brewery :)
I was meant to have Martin and Kyle over for a BBQ today. What actually happened was Kylie and I cycled to Feral Brewery. We stopped for chocolate milkshake and then to the chocolate shop where we got FREE chocolate!! My hands were covered in chocolate by the end... messy pup... The cycle then took us through the Swan Valley vineyards. :) We finished up drinking feral white and eating a massive chicken sandwich, mmmm. Our route was about 29kmish, we cycled back through Bogan territory (Midlands) and off home. :) It took more of the day but totally worth it. :)

Day 26/93
Another nice chilled day! Waffles with maple syrup for breakfast (Nom!), finished watching the Hunger games and then wandered out to go see "The Dallas Buyers Club", Excellent film :D
Day 25/93
A nice lie in and a chat with my Rawr. Then I bimbled into London with Sarah. We Wandered down to the Victoria for a nommy burger, to get out the rain and to spy on dogs. Mostly the big fluffy sleepy Newfoundland by the door. I think he was a doogy, though he may have been a bear!
We then wandered across Hyde park to spy on the gulls, Swans horses and squirrels. One of the squirrels was enen kind enough to pet Sarah, climbing up her leg to steal a nut :) We then headed into the Camden markets and found Sarah a couple of nice scarves, and she found and admired one of your dresses :D We pottered back and watched half the Hunger Games!
(that's 180 degrees :P)

Day 24/93
Made my way in to work today, glad that I had a change of clothes waiting at work, but still suffering somewhat from the night out.
In the evening I had just enough time to make the house look slightly less terrible before Sarah arrived :) We had a nice quiet evening with tea, pizza and Jack Whitehall :)

Day 23/93
I failed quite hard today! It was the work do, so we headed out to a nice bar for many, many drinks and some nommy noms.
Woe number 1) I ran out of mobile internet today. Panicking my poor lady afar who couldn't raise me on the facebook chats.
Woe number 2) I forgot to take my keys with me. Ooops.
Woe number 3) Philip was asleep and his phone on silent, managed to get hold of Lex though!
Woe number 4) It was cold and wet.
Good day though!

Day 22/93
Tube strikes thwarted my plans today! My main plans to go poke Nick and grab dinner, My backup plan to play 40k with Mat, Philip and Wiggy then fell through. Foiled. So I took the car out for a slightly less terrifying, but still quite terrifying drive!
But look at that parking! Beautiful XXX

Today was a nice chilled evening with Kinjal at the pub as she finished off a job application and then pottered round to see her place
WITH A CUTE LITTLE ZEBRAH!
Day 19/93
Board games at the pub!
After a wee chat with my sweet, I pottered in to london to baker street pub to meet up with Kinjal and co for some board games!

Adventures while searching for a Geological map in Freo....
There was a rock festival in town so I spent the day wondering to different spots and catching some free music. :) Between spots, I pottered to the market. I found a lonely piano and all the flip flops, sorry thongs, in the world!
1 year anniversary and a comedy pub crawl, all in all an ace day. :)
I got your beautiful flowers mid-morning, most to my embarrassment..... I had my bike so I had to carry them home at lunch time. They now sit sweetly on my desk in my room, cheering me up every time I get up. :)
After work, I went into Perth CBD to find that the fringe festival had followed me from Edinburgh.... We stumbled upon a comedy pub crawl and so headed around the pubs of Northbridge, laughing. We went to the brass monkey and listened to an ace Glaswegian comic. He turned out to be gay so where best to go next than a gay club! We pottered to connections to enjoy the camp stylings of Perth. The next pick is the awesome back drop of Perth from the balcony bar. Here we laughed ourselves silly over an Australian comic. From here we finally pottered to the Irish bar Rosie O'Grady's. I had to run the Glasgow Celtic supporters club gauntlet to get to the bathroom.... we managed to gate-crash the comedy pub crawl as when we got to the final stop we found out we were meant to have tickets, woops... Since we could rhyme off all the places we had been that night they took pitty and let us see the final act for free. What an ace night!
